Poetic Prose

An average of 4 million books are published worldwide annually... though data shows that the average person reads 12-13 books per year. There are thousands of books, if not millions, that never get recognition they deserve. Author's take the role of sharing their minds and may only get a few readers every few months that follow along with their story. However, there are many english authors that have been taken notice of for decades. William Shakespeare is a great example. His stories and poems have been turned into high school plays and well-known movies, like "Hamlet" as well as his most famous story, "Romeo and Julliet". Poets like this get remembered by their words and the way in which people have shaped their perspectives around them.

The Weaver of Tales

Fairytales, along with myths, have been around for hundreds of years... and will continue to be built and told. Many fairytales are made for children. They allow imagination and the wonders of the world to form. While these stories may not be true, they play a tremendous roll in childhood. These tales get passed down from parent to offspring, from generation to generation. Legends go around and make us wonder what happened thousands of years ago. Author's continue to create new stories that hold a new place in children's lives. That is the magic of great writing.
